Bob Sweeney established his business some 32 years ago with 1 recovery vehicle and a much smaller premises. Over the years the business has steadily grown to be one of the largest and most advanced vehicle dismantling and ATF’s in the country.

As an Authorised ATF we are able to issue C.O.D. (certs of destruction) for end of life vehicles and we work closely with the local authority to ensure the highest standards are maintained. All parts are removed, cleaned and checked and vehicles are de-polluted in line with and exceeding current legislation. This approach has led to Bob Sweeney being the first ATF to be awarded a 5 year waste collection and treatment permit.

Although sharing the same premises the vehicle dismantlers (Bob Sweeney) and the recovery company (Autotowing) are separate entities but work closely together to ensure a speedy and amicable solution to any issues that may arise. From the recovery of any damaged or end of life vehicles. Autotowing are also vehicle recovery agents Insurance and motoring organisations and as such we have gained a wealth of experience in the recovery of motor vehicles from road traffic accidents to breakdown and even repair at scene wheel changes and the like.

We are also on contract to An Garda Siochana for the collection, storage and subsequent disposal of impounded vehicles while also supplying technical facilities for the Garda and PSV officers.

Autotowing, like Bob Sweeney, have earned a reputation for excellent service which has been reflected in the many awards and praise received from the motoring organisations and the attaining of PAS43 approval & IFRS accreditation.
